Flight Zero from 35,000 Feet By Carmel L. Morse This scene has been described as an earth toned patchwork quilt, cotton batting cumulus popping out at the seams, but through this window shaped like Alice's looking glass lays a frozen tundra Armageddon that smothers the last slice of green. Grey clouds like smoke steaming from hidden smudge pots are forced to surrender to the bright ice, smooth as glass, and ready to shatter into slivers to slice the brown arteries of trails, freezing the flow of movement from factories and houses pinned like dead beetles on white Styrofoam. |
