The Summer 2000 Authors Kirsten Campbell is an Executive Assistant from Mt. Kisco, New York. Ms. Campbell has published work in P.A. & M. in Atlanta; and Beauty Talk, and Interracial Voice in New York. She writes, "Sometimes the only resource a writer has is her pen and paper." Taylor Graham is a writer, editor and "volunteer search-and-rescue dog handler" from Somerset, California. Mr. Graham has been writing for 40 years. He has published work in America, The Chattahoochee Review, The Iowa Review, Poetry International and elsewhere. He won first place in the Berkeley Poets Contest for 1993, 1994, 1995. Mr. Graham is a member of Sacramento Poetry Center, El Dorado Writers Guild, and Pony Espresso Poets. Gillian Grozier is a marketing executive from New Fairfield, Connecticut. Ms. Grozier's poetry appeared in The Fairfield Review Spring-Summer 1998 issue. She is a member of the Lingua North writing group. Rosemary J. Gwaltney is an independent writer from Seattle, Washington. Her life work has been adopting and raising disabled children. Ms. Gwaltney has been writing primarily non-fiction, for forty years, "ever since I was eight, at the top of an old plum tree." This is her poetry debut. Dennis Holt is adjunct professor of anthropology at Quinnipiac University and resides in Hamden, CT. Mr. Holt has been writing for 38 years. He has published work in Bachy, Momentum, Northeast Journal, New Mexico Humanities Review, Short Fuse, Dirigible, Newport Review, Blue Collar Review, Pedrada Zurda, and other journals. Kristen Huston is a junior at Florida State University, and a resident of Tallahassee, Florida. Ms. Huston has been writing for a number of years, but has only but have only recently decided to try her hand at publishing her work.. She has published short stories in a handful of magazines and e-zines. Ms. Huston received recognition for her poetry in a recent county-wide competition, as well as second place for a short story in Hoof Prints Literary Magazine. Nan Leslie is a full-time writer from Groton, CT. Ms. Leslie has been writing short fiction "seriously for four years." She also writes a weekly newsletter for Coffeehouseforwriters.com for developing writers called "The Daily Grind." Ms. Leslie has published work in The Oyster Boy Review. Patty Mooney is a video producer and writer from San Diego, California. Ms. Mooney has been writing for the past 23 years and has published work in a number of on- and off-line journals, including A little Poetry, Free Zone Quarterly, and Snakeskin. She has won a number of awards for her poetry, including first places in the California Press Women's Poetry contest and the Red Cedar Review. Her poetry appeared in The Fairfield Review Winter 1999 issue. J. Peter Nelson is a corporate marketing writer from Palo Alto, CA. Mr. Nelson has been writing poetry for "a couple of years". His poem Geometry Unfolding won a Grand Prize in the San Francisco International Dance/Poetry contest. Nancy R. Scott is an artist and art historian from Poughkeepsie, NY. Ms. Scott has been writing for the past l7 years. Her poetry appeared in The Fairfield Review Winter 1999 issue. She has recently completed a chapbook of poems, titled Reflections, from which this issue's selections are drawn.. Ms. Scott writes that poetry is "an extension of my life as an artist." Sam Silva is a freelance writer and guitarist from Fayetteville, North Carolina. Mr. Silva has been writing for the past 23 years. He has published numerous poems in a variety of literary magazines. His poetry won first place in the Fields of Earth poetry contest. Doug Tanoury is a consultant from Warren, Michigan. Mr. Tanoury has been writing since "junior high." He was one of the featured poets in The Fairfield Review, Fall 1997 issue. Mr. Tanoury is a member of Athens Avenue, an international group of poets who write together on-line. |
