The Judgment and Its Pain By Sam Silva I stood my rant and chose to rage from sunup till sundown, the day ...a list of angry, dire, complaints inscrutable and page by page as if the judgment was an opera or a song the chorus would enact ...but then!, some minor fact askew, some little and unruly fact that God revealed and no one knew lay waste the judgment and its pain and proved much like the deep heart peeled how utterly I had been wrong and weeping as a dog would bay for those assumptions I unreeled rather than be turned away I wandered off into the rain. © Copyright 2000, Sam Silva |
