Puzzle

The puzzle
begins
with the search
for the straight edge
pieces,
the ones that will
frame the picture--
then there are
the rarer colors
and the elements
of a still life
that quickly fit
in place--
sky
and grassy fields
are later--
and areas
of black darkness
always last--
but it is ever
these raven ones
that complete
the mystery.
